Culinary Tour Schedule/Tickets

Peterborough Downtown Culinary Tours on Hold for 2019 Season

After eight years of sold out events, the Farm to Table Peterborough Downtown Culinary Tours are taking a break. Farm to Table, which has been running tours each Wednesday, from June through October, will not be offering regularly scheduled events for the 2019 season.

“It’s definitely not the end of the tours,” says owner/host Donald Fraser. “And I wouldn’t be surprised to see some one-off events and new partnerships happen throughout the spring, summer, and fall. But our current schedules make it impossible to offer weekly tours this year.”

The tours, which showcase local growers and businesses committed to local and seasonal food, place an emphasis on the importance of the downtown core to the city of Peterborough.

“We started with a mandate of celebrating downtown Peterborough, acting as an economic stimulus for the core, and educating people about the advantages of local/seasonal food,” notes Fraser. “And we’ve managed to successfully stick to that mandate, while at the same time offering a unique culinary experience and a really fun afternoon.”

Tickets for the Peterborough Downtown Culinary Tours have been among the hottest in town. The past three seasons have sold out within minutes of going on sale.

“Every year, the demand gets greater,” says Fraser. “Every year we hear from people who have been trying to get their hands on tickets. It says a lot about the quality of the experience and the incredible talent and personalities that make up our local food scene. Quite simply, Peterborough is an incredible culinary destination.”
